Wieboldt Hall 421 will be available for videoconferencing on September 10, 2007. The room can be scheduled prior to that, beginning on August 20th, but it cannot be used until the official reopen date. This was done to provide several weeks for reservations in addition to opportunities for training to use the newly updated videoconference room.
The upgraded room features a new LifeSize videoconference unit with high definition video capabilities and the ability to send high resolution data streams along with the video to compatible remote sites. The room also has:
- an upgraded sound system including a handheld wireless microphone and wireless lapel microphone;
- two 50 inch plasma displays- one for instructer viewing and one for the students- in addition to a projector and screen;
- a new document camera; and
- a handheld remote Crestron control panel for controling the system
Please request a training session with us prior to your first videoconference in Wieboldt 421. You can do that by sending an e-mail to Video@listerv.it.northwestern.edu. If you have any questions, please contact Michael Curtis (NUIT Academic Technologies Manager of Video & Collaboration Services) at m-curtis@northwestern.edu.
